community through coffee

Tucknee started as a big dream between two friends in 2019. Angie Neiss and Logan Dumdei crossed paths while working at Bean Cycle Roasters, a roastery and coffee shop in Old Town Fort Collins, CO, and began constructing a dream that, at the time, felt far away. Between slingin’ coffee, climbing mountains, and riding bikes, the two drew up a plan to venture out to the midwest and open up their dream shop. That’s when they met Hunter Sheahan and the dream started to take shape. Now, two years later, the three are the proud owners of Tucknee Coffee Company in Wausau, Wisconsin.

we believe in…

Dang good coffee and the magic that fills each cup we pour. Revolutions began in coffee shops and at Tucknee, we are devoted to offering a space that provides comfort and sunlight for each member of our community.

we promise…

To provide killer coffee each time you walk through the door at 610 Washington Street. Consistency is key, and we promise to put out great coffee, great experiences, and fun times.

Logan

Logan, a Wausau native, decided that freezing his butt off in the Midwest wasn't for him—so he packed his belongings alongside the wanderlust that carried him in 2014 and headed west to the Rockies. Known for being the life of the party, you can find Logan jamming to killer tunes like Iron Maiden, LCD Soundsystem and The Growlers. If a bike could be considered an appendage, it would be for Logan. His love for cranking pedals and pushing skateboards are the building blocks of his character. So if Logan isn’t at the shop, you can count on him hitting the pavement and trails, bottle of hot sauce in hand, crocs on his feet and his crazy cat, Jiji, in tow.

Hunter

After being stuck inside during the cold Northwoods winters, Hunter, originally from Land O’ Lakes, Wisconsin, decided he had beaten Zelda too many times and made the move to Colorado in 2010. Between art school, slingin’ drinks at local bars, and taking to the mountains for the perfect getaway, he started his custom knife making company, Fat Fish Knives. Hunter’s passions don’t stop there though. Inspired by the somber sounds of Wilco, Jeff Tweedy and Elliot Smith, Hunt picked up a guitar as a kid and hasn’t put it down since. So if Hunter ever got stuck on a deserted island, the three items he’d bring along would be as follows: his trusty katana, his guitar, and a blue crayonchanneling his inner Ninja Turtle the entire time.

Angie

If you’ve met Angie, you know her love for coffee, and if she could paint euphoria on canvas, it would be a cold morning at higher altitude with a cup of coffee in hand. Born and raised in Colorado, Angie has been slingin’ coffee since 2012 and decided thenshe would own her own shop one day. Her love for the outdoors and inability to sit still for too long has brought her to mountaintops, climbing pitches and snowboarding back bowls. Between putting miles in while running around the state, van life and constantly losing her phone, keys or wallet; she fell in love with punk music, writing and human connection. So if you walk through the doors at 610 and hear “hi, friend!” followed by Pinegrove, Microwave or Turnover on the speakersyou can count on seeing Angie’s slick dance movesmoleskin journal in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other.
